Tuesday night, New York City native Alicia Keys will be playing a special intimate show at Nokia Theatre in Times Square. If you don’t have a ticket, fear not. The entire show will be streamed live on Alicia’s YouTube channel for free.

The show’s proceeds will go directly to Keep A Child Alive. Alicia is the co-founder and Global Ambassador of the organization. Keep A Child Alive is dedicated to “providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment, care and support services to children and families whose lives have been affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India by directly engaging the global public in the fight against AIDS.”

In 2003 Alicia Keys and Leigh Blake, longtime AIDS activist and film/TV producer, co-founded Keep a Child Alive (KCA), a people’s movement that provides life-saving AIDS medicine and surrounding care to children and families in Africa and India. KCA also provides support to AIDS orphans left behind to keep the most vulnerable children out of harms way.

According to the site, in 2008, Alicia introduced the Keep a Child Alive campaign “Text ALIVE.” Cell phone users can donate $5 to KCA by simply texting the word “ALIVE” to 90999. The website also offers items for sale in their store, as well as a page where those interested can make a monetary donation.

Alicia promises that her show tomorrow night will feature new songs from her current CD “The Element of Freedom”, which is out in stores on December 15th. Both “Empire State of Mind, her duet with fellow New Yorker Jay-Z, and her own single “Try Sleeping With a Broken Heart” have been enjoying huge radio success.

In related World AIDS Day news, Live Nation will be donating a portion of their ticket sales to LIFEbeat– The Music Industry Fights AIDS, which is the music industry’s HIV/AIDS prevention charity in America. The sale will begin at 12:01am on December 1st.
